The core of the Warehouse Excellence Study is the Distribution Center Reference Model, a task orientated reference model with hierarchical structure and defined tasks.
Further components include: a data and technical documentation, a data pool and the Warehouse Assessment Tool, a performance measurement system and an evaluation procedure based on the Warehouse-Excellence-Index.
